Sanganeri printing from near Jaipur is distinguished by its fine floral motifs and precise outlines. Artisans print on white or pastel bases using multiple blocks — one for the outline and others for filler colors.
Each layer is washed and sun-dried, a process once favored by Sanganer’s clear water and abundant sunlight. Historically using vegetable dyes, artisans now combine them with low-impact colors to maintain brightness. The result is a refined, airy aesthetic that reflects centuries of technical control and delicacy.
